Golden Jaguars Storm to Fourth Straight Win with 8-1 Rout of Dominica to Complete Perfect Nations League Window

October 4, 2026, Roseau, Dominica– The Guyana Golden Jaguars capped a remarkable Concacaf Nations League September/October window with a perfect record, defeating the Dominica Bouyon Boyz 8-1 on Sunday at the Estadio Centroamericano in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, to secure their fourth consecutive victory and maintain their position at the top of League B, Group A.

The Golden Jaguars once again produced a commanding performance against Dominica, building on their 5-1 victory earlier in the window with an even more emphatic display of attacking football. Guyana raced into a four-goal lead before halftime, with forward Omari Glasgow opening the scoring in the fifth minute. Torquay United forward Deon Moore doubled the advantage in the 19th minute before captain Elliot Bonds added a third in the 25th minute. Glasgow then completed his brace in the 33rd minute to send Guyana into the halftime break with a commanding 4-0 lead.

The Golden Jaguars continued their offensive onslaught after the restart. Slingerz FC forward Curtez Kellman extended Guyana’s lead in the 54th minute, before Moore found the back of the net for his second of the afternoon three minutes later to make it 6-0.

Dominica managed to break the deadlock through Reon Cuffy in the 68th minute, but the response from Guyana was immediate. Enoch George restored the five-goal advantage in the 69th minute, before Bonds completed his brace in the 75th minute to seal an emphatic 8-1 victory for the Golden Jaguars.

The result brings Guyana’s tally to a maximum 12 points from four matches, firmly establishing the Golden Jaguars at the summit of League B, Group A. Guyana’s perfect record is complemented by a strong attacking return and a series of impressive performances that have positioned the team favourably in its pursuit of promotion and a pathway to the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup.

With the September/October window now complete, the Golden Jaguars will turn their attention to the November international window, where they are set to face Puerto Rico and the Cayman Islands once again. The team will use the intervening period to recover, assess its performances and continue building on the momentum generated by four consecutive victories.

The Guyana Football Federation congratulates the players, technical staff and support team on a successful Nations League window and acknowledges the continued support of Guyanese fans at home and across the diaspora. With the team firmly in control of Group A, the Golden Jaguars now enter the next stage of the campaign with renewed confidence and a clear objective: to finish the Nations League campaign strongly and secure Guyana’s place in the Gold Cup.
