August 22, 2026, Georgetown - The Guyana Senior Men’s National Team, the Golden Jaguars, is set to begin its 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League campaign following the announcement of the competition’s schedule for the September-October FIFA Match Window.
The 2026/27 edition marks the fifth staging of the Concacaf Nations League, featuring 41 Concacaf Member Associations. The competition provides a structured platform for national teams across the region to compete against teams of similar sporting levels while also serving as a key pathway to qualification for the Concacaf Gold Cup.
Guyana will compete in League B, which comprises 16 teams divided into four groups of four. During the September-October and November FIFA Match Windows, each team will play six group-stage matches, facing each opponent twice. The four group winners will advance to the League B Championship, where they will compete for the League B title.
For the upcoming September-October window, the Golden Jaguars will play four matches. Guyana will open its campaign against Puerto Rico on September 24 at 3:00 PM at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica, before facing the Cayman Islands on September 27 at 3:00 PM, also at Windsor Park. The team will then travel to Puerto Rico to face Dominica on October 1 at 5:00 PM at the Estadio Centroamericano Juan Figueroa Freyre in Mayagüez, before concluding the window against Dominica on October 4 at 3:00 PM at the same venue.
The group-stage matches will be played at centralized venues, a format introduced in the previous edition to reduce travel demands and assist Member Associations in maintaining high standards of competition delivery.
The Nations League will continue in November 2026, with the competition culminating in March 2027 with the Concacaf Nations League Finals for League A and, for the first time, centralized championships for Leagues B and C. The schedules for the November 2026 and March 2027 windows will be announced at a later date.
The Golden Jaguars will now turn their attention to preparations for the September fixtures as Guyana seeks to make a strong start to its fifth Concacaf Nations League campaign and position itself for success in League B.
