June 25, 2026, Georgetown – Fruta Conquerors FC will continue to compete among Guyana's top football clubs after securing their place in the Elite League Season 8 with a decisive 2-0 victory over Timehri United FC in the relegation playoff on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the NTC.

In a match where their top-flight status was on the line, Fruta Conquerors delivered a composed and disciplined performance to retain their position in the country's premier football competition. After a tightly contested first half, Jamal Codrington broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, giving the Georgetown-based side a crucial advantage. Stefon Walton added a second goal in the 82nd minute to seal the victory and confirm the club's place in Elite League Season 8.

Head Coach Jersild Wright emphasized the significance of the result, describing the victory as one of the most important in the club's history.
