October 2, 2026, Roseau, Dominica – The Guyana Golden Jaguars continued their impressive run in the 2026/2027 Concacaf Nations League, securing a commanding 5-1 victory over Dominica on Thursday, October 1, at the Estadio Centroamericano in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. The victory earned Guyana another three points and saw the Golden Jaguars maintain their position at the top of Group A in League B.
The Golden Jaguars asserted their dominance early, with forward Osaze DeRosario opening the scoring in the 27th minute. Omari Glasgow then doubled Guyana’s advantage in the 41st minute, sending the Jaguars into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Guyana continued where they left off after the break, with Torquay United FC forward Deon Moore finding the back of the net in the 51st minute to extend the lead to 3-0.
Dominica pulled one back in the 75th minute through forward Troy Jules, but the Golden Jaguars quickly restored their three-goal advantage. Slingerz FC forward Kelsey Benjamin added Guyana’s fourth goal in the 80th minute, before SVV Scheveningen forward Enoch George completed the scoring in the 90th minute to seal a comprehensive 5-1 victory for Guyana.
The result further strengthens Guyana’s position in Group A as the Golden Jaguars continue their pursuit of their Nations League objectives. The team will face Dominica once again on Sunday, October 4, in another crucial fixture as the campaign continues.
Thursday’s victory also extended Guyana’s recent unbeaten record against Dominica, following a 2-0 international friendly victory over the Bouyon Boyz on March 27, 2026, at the Estadio Cibao in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
