Security Officer

The Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Guyana Football Federation facilities, employees, and visitors. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting GFF property and assets while upholding the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to safeguard premises and assets.
  • Control access to the premises by verifying the identities of visitors and personnel.
  • Respond to alarms and other security incidents.
  • Respond to emergencies by contacting appropriate authorities, such as police or fire services.
  • Document daily    activities, security incidents, and any irregularities, submitting comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain order and ensure property protection by interacting professionally with employees and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the overall safety and security of all Federation facilities.

Minimal Qualification & Experience

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is a plus.
  • Possess strong observational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful or emergency situations.
  • Must be punctual.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong ethical standards.
  • Sound primary education.
