July 14, 2026, Georgetown – Kuru Kururu FC capped off a remarkable campaign over the July 11–12 weekend, defeating Timehri United FC to be crowned champions of the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) U13 Youth Ensemble Program.
The victory marks a significant milestone for the club, which just one year ago endured a difficult 2025 campaign in the EBFA U13 and U15 Leagues, failing to register a win in either category. This season, however, Kuru Kururu FC has demonstrated tremendous growth, maintaining an impressive winning streak in both age categories and securing the U13 championship.
EBFA Coordinator Hodiah Garraway commended the team's determination and commitment to development throughout the competition.
"I have seen strength and great development in the players. They came out and did their best, won all their games and stayed on top," Garraway said.
The 2026 EBFA U13 Youth Ensemble League, which kicked off on May 16, featured four clubs: Kuru Kururu FC, Herstelling Raiders FC, Timehri United FC and Circuit Ville Jaguars FC.
Over the course of nine matches, more than 100 young footballers showcased their talent, discipline and sportsmanship, producing exciting contests and impressive individual performances.

With the conclusion of the East Bank Football Association U13 Youth Ensemble League, both champions Kuru Kururu FC and runners-up Timehri United FC have secured qualification for the National Championship, scheduled to be held between July and August 2026.
Meanwhile, the EBFA U15 Youth Ensemble competition continues to deliver exciting football ahead of its anticipated conclusion in late July or early August.
Herstelling Raiders FC recorded a convincing 5-2 victory over Friendship Allstars FC, while Circuit Ville Jaguars FC secured a dominant 7-2 win against Pakuri FC.
Goals for Herstelling Raiders FC came from Tyler Abrams, Robinho Abrams, Wayshawn Forde and Isiyah Williams, while Anthony Thomas and Kemo Depecizer found the net for Friendship Allstars FC.
In the day's other fixture, Circuit Ville Jaguars FC's goals were scored by Anton Sampson, Vickash John, Kennvio Bagot and Elon John. Pakuri FC's scorers were Zeron Andrews and Xian Simon.
The Youth Ensemble Program, a first of its kind initiative of the Guyana Football Federation, continues to provide young players across the country with meaningful competitive opportunities, supporting their technical development while fostering teamwork, discipline and passion for football. With the U15 competition still underway, the program remains committed to identifying and nurturing the next generation of football talent in Guyana.
