Partnership with the GFF
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and Blue Water Shipping have embarked on a landmark partnership to develop a multi-purpose stadium that will redefine football infrastructure in Guyana. Envisioned as a hub for sport, culture, education, and community activity, the future Blue Water Shipping Stadium will serve both national teams and the wider public.
Initiated during a meeting in Denmark in 2022, this collaboration was born from shared values and a mutual vision for national pride and development. The new facility is set to be built on 7.3 acres of land leased by the Government of Guyana to the GFF and will feature:
-
Panoramic exterior terraces with sweeping views of Georgetown
-
Open design and premium spectator sightlines
-
Sustainable, high-tech materials used throughout the stadium
-
A dedicated community center for youth programs, education, and nonprofit events
Blue Water Shipping has secured exclusive naming rights for the stadium for an initial five-year term.
Beyond infrastructure, Blue Water continues its long-standing commitment to grassroots football in Guyana, including sponsorship of the U15 Girls League, helping nurture the next generation of football talent.
This transformative project stands as a bold example of what public-private partnerships can achieve—delivering long-term value to Georgetown, the Wortmanville community, and the entire country.
