Head of Refereeing Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Referees Council
  • To implement decisions adopted by the Referees Council
  • To carry out all tasks related to the logistics of refereeing
  • To carry out all administrative duties of the refereeing department
  • To implement programmes to develop the Referees according to the guidelines approved by the Referees Council
  • To organize courses for Referees, Referee Instructors and Referee Assessors
  • To prepare and produce teaching materials in line with the Laws of the Game issued by IFAB
  • To report regularly on activities to the Referees Council either directly or through the General Secretary of the GFF
  • Propose and prepare budgets, including the annual budget

Personal attributes

  • Broad experience in the field of refereeing
  • Excellent personal presentation and proven high standard of oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy and distracting environment.
  • Proven capacity in the successful design and coordination of courses, activities and events.
  • Ability and willingness to take direction.
  • Willingness to travel across the country and internationally and work considerably “out of normal office hours”.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a FIFA International Referee.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Management, Project Management, or any other related field.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
