FIFA CONGRATULATES SPORTS MINISTER OF GUYANA

21st September, Georgetown: Director of Member Associations and Development for Africa and the Caribbean of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Véron Mosengo-Omba,  has sent a letter of congratulations to the Honorable Dr. George  Norton, Minister of Social Cohesion with responsibility for Youth, Sport and Culture.

In a letter dated 19th September, 2017, Mosengo-Ombo stated: “Allow me to express warmest and most sincere congratulations on your recent appointment as Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. FIFA would like to take the opportunity to wish you continued strength, wisdom and success in this highly important and critical role.”

The letter continued: “FIFA would like to assure you of its commitment and support to your office as we work together towards the continued development of football in Guyana. I am confident that during your mandate, the outstanding relationship between FIFA and Guyana will further strengthen.”

Mosengo-Omba concluded by extending best wishes to Minister Norton in his new role and reemphasized FIFA’s “highest regards”.
