GFF ELITE LEAGUE III
– FRIDAY’S MATCH TO BE HELD AT GFC
15th March, 2018, Georgetown: As the GFF Elite League enters its eighth match week, matches scheduled for tomorrow will be held at the Georgetown Football Club Ground, Bourda due to the unplayable conditions of the Tucville venue.
However, Sunday’s matches will be held at the previously-scheduled Guyana Defence Force Ground, Camp Ayanganna.
Friday’s doubleheader will feature NA United FC vs Western Tigers FC at 18:00hrs followed by Milerock FC vs Fruta Conquerors FC at 20:00hrs. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Den Amstel FC will play Victoria Kings FC at 17:30hrs and GDF FC will contend with Milerock FC in the feature encounter.
In the first of Friday’s doubleheader, NA United will be seeking to have their second victory of the tournament whilst their opponent Western Tigers will be looking to climb to the top of the points table. In the other match, Linden’s Milerock FC, will be seeking to redeem themselves after recent lackluster displays while their opponent Fruta Conquerors will be seeking to climb further up from their present third-place in the points standing.
In Sunday’s doubleheader, first-match competitor Den Amstel FC would continue to strive to upkeep their good showing thus far as new entrants to the league; a matter which second-time league club Victoria Kings would not support since Den Amstel would be looking to climb above them in the points table. In the second match, GDF FC would aim to maintain their position as present points leaders while Buxton United FC would be seeking to improve their position at the middle of the table.
The GFF Elite League is the senior league of the Guyana Football Federation, which informs the senior national squad. The Guyana Defence Force FC is the defending champions. Admission to all matches is $500 but all children U12 years of age and women will be admitted free of charge.
