GFF SIGNS MOU WITH NCN

27th October, Georgetown: The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Communications Network Inc. (NCN) at 11:30hrs this morning in NCN Studios.

This agreement provides for a weekly GFF-produced television program.

Present at the signing were GFF President, Wayne Forde, GFF Marketing and Sponsorship Director, Dario McKlmon and NCN Production Manager, Wendy Hermonstine.

In invited comments, Forde stated: “On behalf of the Council and the GFF we are indeed very happy to enter in this Memorandum of Understanding with NCN today. The GFF has pursued an agenda that puts at its core accountability and transparency. We believe that the platform this one-hour every week will provide us is one where we will be able to communicate to our members and to the general public, the programs, the strategies and ultimately the vision of the Council to transform football in Guyana. We know that the negotiation and discussions that we engaged NCN in over the past couple of months was arduous. But I may say that the final product is one that will be mutually beneficial to both NCN and the GFF, but more importantly to our young players.”

In brief remarks, Hermonstine said: “Football is a game of two teams. It is so important today that two teams are collaborating, NCN and GFF in an effort to bring this game to visibility. It is a platform for talented young people to develop explore and become stars. Our future football stars in the beautiful country of Guyana. It also falls in line with the government’s agenda to promote young people. This is why this collaboration is so important between NCN and the GFF in assisting the various teams across Guyana to fulfill their goals and mandate.”
