GFF Director of Competitions, Ian Alves, in an invited comment, stated: “As the football fraternity is aware we’ve had a break between the end of Season II and the commencement of the Big Four tournament. Therefore, one of the things we will see in the ‘Big Four’ is which among the clubs have been able to maintain their training schedule, performance level and match fitness during the break. The results will very well be a reflection of such.  We expect keen rivalry among the clubs since they will not only be competing for the cash prizes on offer, but will also be looking forward to going into Season III of the Elite League riding on their recent victories.”
