GUYANA PARTICIPATES IN CLUB PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

14th April, 2018, Georgetown: Director of Competitions at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Ian Alves, is Guyana’s representative at the Concacaf Club Professional Development Workshop being held in Santiago, Dominican Republic from April 14 – 16, 2018.

The annual event is held in conjunction with the 2018 Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield, also hosted in the Dominican Republic.

The conference is aimed at providing tools to professionalize club football in the Concacaf region while fostering a space for knowledge acquisition and sharing among Member Associations.

The initiative is part of the One Concacaf vision proffered by Concacaf’s President Victor Montagliani who believes that professional football and its growth is a critical element to “ensure long-term success and increased competitiveness on and off the field.”

Among the participants are members of national leagues, professional clubs outside the region and players’ associations from across the Region.
