KEANU MARSH-BROWN TO PLAY FOR THE GOLDEN JAGUARS

Keanu Marsh-Brown

Say hello to Keanu Marsh-Brown, the newest addition to the #GoldenJaguars, who is scheduled to play in the final qualifier match against Belize on March 23, 2018.

HERE’S A QUESTION & ANSWER BELOW FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

WHAT DOES GUYANA MEAN TO YOU?
The Guyanese culture is huge to me. Growing up as a little kid in a household of Guyana and Jamaica with my mum being Guyanese and father being Jamaican, it was massive going round to my nans and grandads on the weekends with all my family and cousins, listening to soca music and eating my favourite food like roti and curry that my nan would make are memories, which will stay with me for a lifetime. All that culture will stay with me when I have kids to pass down to the generations and I’m looking forward to making more involving the National team.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT RECEIVING THE FIFA CLEARANCE TO PLAY FOR GUYANA?
This was a tough one. I have to thank everyone involved in making this happen especially the Head of Recruitment and Technical Staff. You have to be patient with these kind of things because there’s so much paper work FIFA and the GFF have to sort out to make sure everything is a go and it’s even harder when you have played for England at youth level. Stuff takes a bit longer but now it has been sorted, it’s over the line and I can’t wait to get started but a massive thanks to all who helped behind the scenes to make this happen

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THE GUYANESE FANS?
To all the Guyanese fans, I can’t wait to play in front of you and drive the country to success. My older brother has played and said it’s amazing. I also can’t wait to play and bring something different to the team. I’m an exciting player, I love to assist and score goals and excite people watching the game but I love to WIN. I’m a winner and I got high standards of myself so I will always give 100 percent so I’m looking forward to playing in front of you.

WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS OF THE NEXT MATCH?
The next game is huge for the nation to qualify for the Gold Cup, it would be amazing and it’s still possible. The gafffer has done an amazing job and I’ve been watching the games. Every game has been an improvement in different things but the next game is a must win and hopefully, in football, some results don’t always happen for them and could go in our favour but I’m looking forward to that last game.

In closing, I would like to say a massive thanks to all the staff for making this happen. I really am grateful and I’m over the moon see you soon
