Far East United Sports Club
Four teams have booked their spots in the semi-finals of the Theresa & George Bobb – RFA 7-A-Side Women’s Football scheduled for tomorrow at the St. Ignatius Sports Ground.
The first semi-final at 19:00hrs will see the Guyana Rush Saints FC battle with Far East United FC while the second will see Moco Moco FC take on Tabatinga FC at 20:00hrs.
The semi-finalists were decided yesterday following wins by Guyana Rush Saints against Terminators FC and Gladiators FC vs Far East United SC. In the first of the final preliminary matches, Guyana Rush Saints FC grabbed an easy three points after Terminators FC failed to show up. This resulted in them being placed second on the final points standing in the table after Moco Moco FC.

The next match between Gladiators FC vs Far East United SC was a must-win for both teams in order to make the final four in the semifinals playoff. Far East United SC females proved to be too strong for their opponents when Fabiana Stephens found the back of the net in the 24th minute and later Shenica Thomas sealed the victory in the 48th minute after receiving a direct pass from her team mate in from the goal area and made full use of the opportunity. That ensured Far East United SC secured the final spot in the semifinals playoff.
